Dark Crystal Collection - Character Sketches
A collection of sketches done of my own characters found within the realm of the Dark Crystal. While I am aware of there being 18 total urSkeks that were split in half in the canon of the Dark Crystal, I got caught up in the hype of the show when first viewing it and wanted to make my own Skeksis and Urru. However, long ago, I did originally make an Urru character but never a Skeksis counterpart.
When the show came out and I had the chance to finally view it, I got the idea to do so while also reviving my Urru once again! Soon, other characters began to join in the mix as well.
These are just a series of sketches of my OCs for this franchise.

Sketch of skekSar and urKu in their younger years. Not much would change for them physically as they age.
Sketch of skekVir in the midst of butchering an infant Sakiia. While able to go through with killing her family, a rush of guilt over takes himself and is unable to do the same to her; sparing the baby Gelfling of the same fate as her family.
Unable to go through with what he had done, skekVir takes it upon himself to care for the infant; still ridden with guilt as memories of a life past haunt him deep within.
SkekSil is confronted by skekVir for being too nosey for his own good. SkekVir despises the Chamberlin and promply makes sure that the other Skeksis stirs clear from his path.
Unable to stay with the other Skeksis during the height of the resistance, skekVir takes the chance to flee elsewhere for the safety of the infant he is caring for.
He despises the Gelfling but can not have the heart to be rid of the infant.
A few years later living in a new home, Sakiia is now a child and happily wakes skekVir up to start the day; much to his annoyance.
Sakiia learns to read under the watchful eye of skekVir, who aids her in her learning efforts.
Now as an adult, Sakiia still stays close to skekVir and aids him in his morning routines.
At the end of the story, skekVir and urDhas are reunited once more in their last moments
